I found that either the color came out wrong or it wasn't manly enough. I also didn't want to make it dark. I find a lot of guy cards use a lot of browns and those dark colors. This is why I wanted to use the Just Rite challenge.
Here is the card:
Background: for this one I really used quite a few products. I started with background stamp from OI. I wish Just Rite came up with script kinda background. Then I stamped Hot air balloon. I have used stamp markers to color the stamp. I bought the stamp on ebay by some company that makes custom stamps. I will include the link if you want to look at it
http://stores.ebay.com/flonzcraft I also bought my custom "handmade by" stamps.
I also used Tim Holtz stamp for flourishes. I wish Just Rite would have Just Flourishes stamp set.
I used Cheery Lynn dies to cut out oval and make flowers.
I have layered the card of orange card stock and on the blue card stock for the case. I seem to be really liking faux stitching. It seems to me it just adds that last touch.
Done!
What do you think?

ReplyDeleteYes!!! I love hot air balloons and this card is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYou are the second crafter in a month that wished for a script background! One of my local friends said the same...I totally agree. You could do so much with a script background. Imagine the Christmas or Valentines Day cards that could be made!
Thanks for showing your amazing card!! :)

Hey Stacy!
ReplyDeleteI miss seeing you play at JustRite. I thought for sure you would do the Doilies challenge, because I know you have great doily dies( I'm so jealous). So I was really disappointed that you didn't have an entry. I met Kathy Jo (little teapot} in person last weekend( how cool is that?)and we talked about not seeing you online anywhere. I just hope you still get some time for creating, because I'm such a fan and you are brilliant!
