So I decided to create a flowers study. For the next few posts I will be experimenting with different flower creation options. There are plenty of videos on YouTube with wonderful ladies who come up with different techniques and kind enough to share. So if i use one of their videos i will post it in my blog.
So here is the hydrangea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljU1slU9nE0
First I made a hydrangea. FLOWER: It took some time because I used smaller flower punch then in tutorial and then I used distressed ink ( chipped Sapphire) to go around edges and add color. For the centre I used 3D fabric paints. It's less expensive then liquid pearls but they do the same thing. Well almost. After the flower was put together. I sprayed it with water and allowed the color from the ink to bleed. It took longer then I anticipated. BACKGROUND: I stamped Just Rite hydrangea stamp. I have used the same distressed ink with clear powder as i did on the flowers. I have colored them again with the distressed ink. I have watered down color a tad and used perfect pearls to add shine. I have also colored around the flowers using green ink color with perfect pearls and used embossing leaves folder to add texture and movement to the page.
SENTIMENT & EMBELLISHMENTS:
I have used my Just Rite stamp to create border and Happy Bday :). Did I say I LOVE JR? For the butterflies & leaves I have used cherry lynn dies. ( they are so great, I just wish I had more of those). Oh and of course my 100 yards of lace :)
