Thanks!!!

Hello,

This card was very unusual for me to make because I have used quite a few new things that I haven't used. It turned out great I really like.

Here is the card:

I started with playing molding paste. I LOVE it!!!! I used Viva pearl molding paste this is what gave it the shine. I could've added ink and make it more stone looking but I loved it the way it was so decided not to change it. I used Prima Stone template. It was so easy to use and I really like how the "stones" turned out.

For the words "thanks" I have used Utee. I bough Martha Stewart alphabet mold it was on sale for $6. Yeeey!!! It took few tries to get the letters come out properly. "N" and "S" here the worst because of the narrow legs and curves. I was happy that I didn't try to make word "Christmas" It has a lot of "S"es  in there. But those got done! With Utee the longer it stays in the melting pot more amber it turns... so N and S were getting pretty dark. I used Momento Briliance ink to make them all one color, or close to it. I hit the letters with the heat gun to melt the ink a little bit into utee.

I cut out gears using Tim Holtz die. I don't have many sizzix dies... I have tons of spellbinders but only 3 sizzix. It was awesome to see that it can easily cut 3-4 layers of card stock. I think I will more of sizzix dies. I wish it should emboss like spellbinders... but I think I am asking for too much here. Ok ... on to the card.... I stamped the gears using Just Rite background. I wanted the words of loyalty, friend.. etc to show up. I put them on pop dots.

For the inside of the card I have used the same Prima Stencil to add "stone" on the inside. I like how it turned out. Stone picking through. Then faux stitching, and Just Rite sentiment. I made a lil boo boo and left inked finger print, I covered it with left over gear.

To assemble the card, I have added lace then placed the letters, starting from "S", placed the gears. It looked like it was missing something. I cut out Cherry Lynn doily and scrunched it up, making more of a heart shape ( not really but that was the thought) :) Glue those on. The last step was to add glossy accents. I have never used those but I saw so many crafters using it. OMG!! I am in LOVE!. Super glue and I love what it does.

I think this is my longest post. P.S. This is my way of procrastination... I really don't want to pack. Thank You for sticking with me :)
