Flower Study - Carnation by Donna Salazar-- I Won.. Yeey

Here is my second flower. Ok I have to admit I don't really like this Spellbinders die for the carnation. If you just layer the flowers well... they are just OK. Although I bought it long time ago I didn't really use it, because i didn't really know how to.
This time it was different I was determined to play around with it. Oh and I watched this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKGL_tIqKXE

I figured out that I didn't need to curl the flowers but instead fold the petal in the zig zag motion and make them stand up.  ( lol i hope this makes sense). I like how it turned out. I think as I play around more with it I will find different options to put flowers together.

Here is the card:

BACKGROUND:I have embossed the light blue cardstock with cuttlebug parsley folder. Then I used dew drop brilliance purple and pinks to add color. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that ink. Great pigmented inks and dries relatively fast and it's shimmery with out the mess . Love it....

FLOWER: Used Spellbinders Carnation creations and inked up the edges and stacked then up. For the baby breath.... ( sigh) ... they turn out absolutely amazingly cute... just need more patience to put it together :) I used Cheery Lynn die for those.

SENTIMENT & EMBELLISHMENTS: I have used Just Rite stamp ad then fussy cut it out. Just Rite stamps are awesome. I have tried to stay within Just Rite challenge but got a lil carried away from  it but I think it still fits kinda..... I used Cheery Lynn's dies for doilies.  I have cut them in half to create a balanced look on the card. I am absolutely crazy about their dies, it cuts out perfectly. ( just need more  ). And Of course my lace ribbon.

Here is the close up of the flowers. What do you think?

I still have a lot of cards to make. I have to do another "guy" card :( ..... On my! and I need it for monday. Althought I knew about for about a week. Can you see how eager I am to make it lol?
