Flower Study -- Build a Flower Cherry Lynn

This card was a lil bit tough in terms of figuring out what I want to do.
The challenge on the JustRite blog is to create a flower with a window or window inspiration. I haven't done window cards before. I 've done a lot of other structures but not window.

So this is my first attempt at this type of card

Here is the how the card is made:

BACKGROUND: This is regular tri ford card with 2 panels. I have cut 4 x 2.75 inch panels. Background is embossed  using JustRite damask background stamp. Clear embossing on ivory card stock and then .... ohh yes you guessed it.... gelatos. These are metallic kind so I am hoping you will be able to see all the pretty shimmer it created.

WINDOW: I have glued the panels to the card base ( tri fold). For the window I have use spellbinders. I have put the die inside the card, closed the panel and run it though cuttlebug. Sounds easy right..... well.... it took few run through cuttlebug to cut 3 layers of cardstock. It can be done :)
I have stamped a Just Rite sentiment and then put is on the 3D Glue dots.

FLOWERS: I am into cherry blossom mood... so for the next little bit you will see few cards with those. This is the easiest flower that I made. I have used all the crap paper ... little bits that were laying in my craft scrap bag for .... well eternity....  Using Cherry Lynn Build a flower  #3 die, cut out 5 petals, colored the edges pink with dew drop brilliance. For the center using Cherry Lynn Embellishments #2 cut out the middle part, colored cold with dew drop brilliance. Glue them together.. and pearl and Done! easy right?... By the way can anyone suggest a wet glue that is super strong and dries fast.... glue gun is really not the best options for building flowers... they are too bulky and heavy!.

EMBELLISHMENTS: Just a pink ribbon with a bow and some pearls.

Here is how card looks inside. What do you think?

  16. Beautiful card. I love the way you created your window. I have been making flowers for my cards for close to ten years, first with punches and now mostly with die cuts. I have always used plain, ordinary white glue. I use a toothpick to apply it or a little squeeze bottle with a very narrow tip. It dries quickly and clear and holds forever. Hope this helps you.
